Hi everyone,

A friend of mine has a 1911 handed down from his grandfather that saw service in WW2, and I was wondering if any of you could provide any info or rough valuation of the pistol?

It is missing a few parts, notably the barrel, barrel bushing, guide rod, and spring. All the parts that it does have are all original. As you can see in the pics, it isn't in the best of shape. There is no visible serial number on either the frame or slide.

Any help or info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Cal.

No serial number???? How is it registered??? No number then it's illegal.

That being said it is in really rough shape, missing major components, has little collector value. It may help to go to 1911forum.com and post in the USGI section... the guys there can track down and identify anything but I doubt you'll get good news.
