Hi,
I got a used Glock 27 G4 with an extended Lonewolf barrel from a Gunnut who claimed that he brought it new & had approx. 100 rds thru it. Owner claimed he had no issue with it. The gun looked very new to me both outside & inside when I received it. I loaded up a mag with mixture of live rounds and dummy rounds and racked it manually to test it (Pls note: I did not fire it). It loaded and ejected rounds properly.
Please note that I have shot with most Glock 40cal family except Glock 24 & Glock 27 and have had no issues with them using manufacture ammo (mostly with Winchester 180 grain).
Main issue:
I went to the range few weeks ago to fire it for the very first time. First 3 shots were fine. Then it would fire, slide went backward attempting to load up another round while the spent casing was still in the chamber. The slide would push the next round against the back of the spend casing and it remained that way. If you look from the top of the gun, you could see the spend casing and the next round almost lining up against each other.
I would have to lock the slide back, remove the magazine, and either manually remove the spent casing or give it a few shake so the spent casing can fall out from the chamber. I then loaded it up again and got the exact problem as described above (Fire-FTE-FTL). The same problem occurred with both original magazine (Glock 27 9 rd mag) and original Glock 22 10 rd mag.
I did take the gun apart when I got home and compared its extractor with a new one. Nothing was out of order. I looked at its dual recoil spring assembly and it appeared to be fine. I did give the gun a good clean and make sure the firing channel is dry and free of any debris/dirt. I put it back, manually recycling the gun with live&dummy ammo. Again, it ejected every single round with no issue proving there is no issue with the extractor itself.
I brought the gun back to the range yesterday and tried it again with different ammo (same brand/same gain but for different intended use). Sadly enough, the exact problem occurred. Basically, my fairly new Glock 27 gen 4 has become a single shot pistol.
Please let me know what you would think what would be a real problem here and would I do???
Thanks,
