HELP! I cant get my scope mounted.

I put on the weaver 48045 mounting bases which went on fine but it doesnt seem like the rings fit the bases, i have never mounted a scope before but i cant figure out a logical way to put these ring bases on the mounts... do i have a wrong size or style?

The pictures aren't working but you might have the wrong sized scope rings.

You need a set of scope rings to fit on a 20mm rail (if Im not mistaken)....

Damn, looks like i wont be shooting it today, stores are closed, and canadian tire/walmart dont carry rings.

The rings you have seem to be for a grooved receiver.

The rings on your scope are for a dove tail. Make sure, before you go buying any more rings, that there will be enough scope tube available between the bell and the magnification knob to fit onto your receiver. I realize that the pictures are not too the same scale but it looks like it will be a tight fit. I think eye relief may be an issue aswell.

You have got weaver style bases for full size scope rings and your rings are to fit a gun with a groved reciver .
