Help I can't put my 870 back together !!!

What is the trick to getting the bolt assembly back into the reciever?????

I'm assuming you dropped the trigger group. Have you tried a large hammer?

I left the trigger group alone

I simply slid the slide off the reciver in order to change the grip. I figured out how to change the grip, I cleaned the bolt. I put it all back together and can not get the slide and bolt back into the reciever ?

It seams to me that I have to press something, but I can not figure out what

try the 2 latch inside the receiver (one on each side), depress one after the other, that should do it.

right latch first, then the left latch (as you are looking at it from above)
Nothing scares me anymore... I take everything apart at some point

LOL I'll use a 5 pound maul with the damn winchester 1300 a buddy of mine gave me in pieces..... it should be a paperweight or a club for intruders....
