A friend took these pics and sent them to me. Hope they are good enough to identify what they are. Also are they restricted or are they antiques? Any other info is great. Thanks.

The top is a .44 1858 Remington. The below is a .31 Colt Pocket. These are both black powder, cap and ball revolvers.

What concerns me most is the seemingly brass frame on the Remington. It makes be suspicious that it's a reproduction.

Since these are both black powder, I'd recommend asking the gents in the black powder forum. They could no doubt give you much more information.

Thanks that's a great start. I guess the only thing now is to figure out if its a repro and if that makes it a restricted a posed to antique.

CSA stamp, i think that was an older repro company...confederate small arms? Find a gun shop that is good with old firearms, take it in, but if one is a repro, i'd very likely suspect both in that display are, and that makes them both restricted.

oh, and the grip frame on the 31 looks like a patterson grip, i believe it's incorrect on that model, (again making me think repro) but i'm NOT an expert. I'm sure someone will be along tonight with better information
