I'm going through some estate items and found this bayonet.
Can anyone help identify it?
You can see in the pic that there is a new looking solder spot on the bayonet.
Is there any value to this piece.
I'm a benchrest shooter and am sorry to say my knowledge on anything milsurp is very limited.
Thanks for the help.

It is a fantasy piece. They've been around for a number of years, I think at least from the 1970's. The scabbard is from a British No.4 spike bayonet and is legit. The blade part is newly made, possibly from part of a SKS bayonet. They were marketed as a "commando stiletto", "OSS stiletto" and probably a few more descriptions. No collector value, although some collectors do also collect fakes as examples.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Cottage Hill Bill.
This was in a good friend of mines estate.
He liked milsurp and maybe did pick this up just for the fun of it.
I guess it'll make a good conversation piece.
