Picked up a Voere rifle today. Cannot find a model number on it. can anyone help?
Also looks like it was restocked with a parker hale stock and inleted for the tang safety.
All numbers match between bolt, reciever and barrel

Based on the three similar that I have owned, I am guessing you have a 2165 Voere - they converted surplus mausers - that is why you have "matching numbers", or used santa barber commercial or whatever they could get. Lufstahl 3 is the grade of steel in the barrel. Kufstein was the town in Austria where the factory was. They put the tang safety on the standard mauser - my recollection is that the bedding better be perfect or you will soon split the tang behind that safety. Also, the ones I had were all based on military triggers that were converted / modernized to accept that tang safety - amazing contraption - must have had 30 pieces between the safety and trigger...

I have a Voere 222 over a 20 gauge. I did a search on the internet and found their email address. I gave them the serial number and they replied with al the info, year, model, chamber size and any other info that they had. Give them a try.

I have a model 2150 which i believe is the plain jane version without the rosewood for end . They are built on the thumb cut mauser which predates the santa barbara (parker hale which has no thumb cut on the left side of the receiver). They are a very well made rifle using good quality steel for the barrels and you may find that the thing shoots great. There were quite a few imported through people like Simpson sears back in the 70's but they hold a good value in the USA where there are still coveted. If you are thinking of flipping it let me know.

The OP's rifle is a 2155. The 2155 can be ordered with a lot of options, while the 2165 is the model with most of the options as standard.

Here's a 2165;

The stock looks like a Parker Hale stock because it came from the same source. PH, and other manufacturers, got their stocks from a company in Italy named Sile.

THe only reason i say it looks to be a different stock is the the area under the bolt release is unfinsihed like it was fitted after and there is a relief for the side style safety. It could be that it was a 2155 that was option without the tang safety and someone added it after. The front pillar was bedded with a intial sayin 1992. The rear was not and the stock has been repaired on either side.

Thank you all for the info I though it was a 2155 just thought there would be a marking somewhere to state that as well.

P.S. would a boyds stock for the PH 1200 work with some fitting as they are both 98 actions?
