Any help would be appreciated

I have a brass scope with the following markings. The crosshairs move when I move my eye around the eyepiece - very odd. No apparent way to adjust the crosshairs:

No 22 D. MK T
A. K. & S. 1943
O.S. 813 G. A. No. 29168
/|\

The last marking is a broad arrow. I was hoping this was a rifle scope, but I now have my doubts.

The whitish sticker on it is partially gone, missing info is replaced with *, but says:

PASSED
*REME INSTRUCTORATE
********* 0 . 5 . 4

I believe it is a British (or canadian) No22 Mk1 gunsight for the 25 pdr gun-howitzer of WW2... I've seen a similar gunsight advertised as a 40mm Bofor antiaircraft sight but I believe it is for the 25 pdr... It is definively WW2 and British comonwealth issue as it sports the broad arrow (the /|\ mark). I believe the No22 sight was the standard 25 pdr direct gunsight until 1944...
