Hello,

Not sure if this is the place to post my plea for help in identifying and valuating these shells, but at least its a place to start :)

I have collected/hoarded some unique pieces of ammo over the years and I am looking to declutter and I have a friend who is very interested in taking these off my hands however we both don't know the value, can anyone help us out here? Even with a link of somewhere to look? I have been only but not finding much info that is helpful.

Thanks a ton in advanced

Ultimately they are worth what you and he agree they are worth. I don't know if there is much of a market for those, so I am not surprised you are finding little information about those or antique ammunition in general. Do you remember what you paid for them? have you invested much into them in terms of preservation, or research to identify some history of them, who made them etc? Good luck.

PS, my grandpa always used to say if you don't curate your stuff, its not collecting, its hoarding.

These came in a "package deal" years back when someone was trying to sweeten the pot. I have lacked the spare time to ID these much (spent say 5 to 8 good hours). And I agree with your Grandpa! Which is why I am trying to part with the items which I don't have the time to appreciate. I'll continue the info hunt ;)

also I have what appears to be a full and new packet for snider ammo dated 1890 with the DC diamond on it anyone know what calibre that may be?
