I'm in the "curious" stage of learning about m14 options, and just want to increase my knowledge. Can anyone identify the brand/model of the following scope mount? Sorry, this is the only picture/resolution I have...

My guess is that it may be "generic" m14 mount from eBay.

Thanks for the info, but sorry to hear the mount didn't work out for you. Looks like you're not the only one who tossed their Millett:

Would recommend: no

Not a good product. Hard to align properly on your rifle thumb screw is pointy and hard to use. Mine will be going into the recycle bin.

I have a Springfield scout mount at the moment, but one day may look to a receiver option. Reading through the M14 scope mount options sticky, it seems like a good bet is to try a few different mounts, and hopefully find one that fits just right.

I would be happy to meet you for coffee in Victoria to help you understand the differences between mounting "philosophies." A lot of people have different opinions about what works well and what doesn't but I have come to learn there are a lot of great choices out there. Some have an excellent reputation, while some are just earning theirs one scope mount at a time.

Hence why certain companies come out with steal ones after they soaked there customers in to buying there aluminum junk.
I would steer clear of any company that does not make there mount out of steel and would always recomend to contact a guru for there preferance before buying such low quality mounts. Even more so for companyies that rip off other company's designs.
