Hello everyone, I was recently given a few lees and a Mauser and I’m looking to identify what exactly is the Mauser in the pictures and it’s value roughly.

Thank you

Stampings on this Mauser seem to be from a Yugoslavian Model 24 Short Rifle. As per MAUSER MILITARY RIFLES OF THE WORLD, p. 322, it should have a shrouded bolt face, which is apparently only present on this and the 1910 Costa Rica Model 1910 - the original "three rings of steel"... that shroud was patented in Germany in 1898 but rarely seen on military rifles. This mauser was originally chambered in 7.92x57 aka 8x57. The first three letters on this side wall are different than picture shown in MMROTW

The stock has been modified a lot from original, so any collector value likely gone. If you found someone who really, really wanted that unique bolt, I would guess that you would be lucky to get $200 to $250. No mention of bore condition, actual chambering or function - just going by surface condition shown in the pictures. And, I have been wrong regarding prices, many times. Got a whole shop full of "proof".

APT in front of factory name means artillery. "Арт. Тех. Завод" = Artillery Technology factory.

Then in 1930 factory name changed to "Воjнотех. Завод"=military technology factory.

So your rifle was manufactured 1924-1929.
