Help identifying my ERA P-14

Neither Enfield, nor BSA ever made p-14 rifles. Enfield made the patent rifle but not the production rifles. They were all made in the USA. From the picts your rifle is mismatched ( serial number wise). The rifles were proofed either at the factory or in Britian when deliered.

More pictures would help, what are you loking to learn?

The year of manufacture is stamped on the barrel close to the receiver (it will be the last two digits of the year). If your rifle still has handguards, then you have to remove the rear one in order to see the barrel date. You will also be able to see if the serial # on the barrel, matches the Receiver.

The P-14 is a comfortable gun to shoot compared to the SMLE or the 03 Springfield.
I like the peep sights on the P-14 and P-17's, No4 and 03 A3.
I had my Winchester P-14 and M10 Ross to the range a few months ago and the 14 shot better than the Ross.
