Help Identifying Rifle/Bayonet Shipping Container

From the font and names, I'd suggest Ross rifles pre WW1. But I could be completely wrong. (Detachable bayonets are later in the 19th century than most people think.)
 
Seems to long for Enfield No.1 MKIII or to short for Snider-Enfields, so my guess is for Ross rifles.

The part where the rope handle connects looks the same with the wood on an angle but those crates are quite a bit deeper. It looks like it has the same reinforced metal corners as well. Too bad it doesn't show any font on the side, cool picture though.
