Date code - AE in a cartouche = 1992 - all the buffs had long gone by then.................

Here's the current list of Italian date stamps, used by the Italian National Proof House in Gardone Val Trompia -

Your barrel shows - Republican star over PN - Polvere Nera - black powder

The stamp of the coat of arms of the city of Gardone Val Trompia in the province of Brescia - location of the Proof House, and of 95% of all of Italy's firearms production and manufacturing.

Your gun is one of those marketed by Safari Arms .These were generic muzzleloaders made in Italy and sold by various companies like Safari Arms,Charles Daly etc. Here s one I found under the Safari Arms brand just like yours. With black powder guns the condition of the bore determines the price as a lot of people weren’t t that careful in cleaning them.

Without bore condition, nobody can value it.
It could be rusted and pitted near the breech, even if the bore at the muzzle is clean.
You need a bore light or better still, a bore scope.
