I had a set of rings on a M70 and I've never seen another pair, but I know they were made.
They had no screws holding the 2pcs together, but a hand fitted dovetail joint with a cap at the top. I don't recall exactly how they mated with the base.
I absolutely can't remember the name of the MFR, and can't find any pics online.
