I only know of three tactical semi autos allowed allowed for us Canadians.

- Benelli M4
- Fabarm SAT 8
- and Remington 1100 TAC 2 & 4.

Are there any others out there for us? Should I look no further than these 3? I've also never shot any of them before. The pumps are fun, but now I want a semi auto. How do they shoot? My intentions are mainly for targets and an alternate camp gun. Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

For a camp gun, I would personnally prefer something a tad more reliable. Not that a semi is unreliable, but a pump is pretty much going to fire after it is put through the worst.

For targets and an alternate camp gun and you want a tactical semi auto ? Much better guns for the uses you mention.

Benelli Super 90 would be one.

But the M3 is so cool!

Anyways, how is it illegal if semi-auto and pump are both legal, so switching back and forth technically should be legal.

Yes I know the REAL M3 can be full auto!

I don't see what can go wrong with a pump shotgun... boom, shuck shuck, boom, shuck shuck, boom, shuck shuck...? Maybe it's just me...

I was actually thinking more of a tipped canoe or something along those lines. I'm just thinking that if my 870 was dunked in mud, I would be an awful lot more comfortable firing it after than any semi. Should the situation require, I would think all my 870 would need is to get the mud and water out of the barrel before it could be fired.

Although I kinda wonder what could go wrong with a pump.

I also strongly considered a semi when my wife requested her own camp gun. I thought it would be easier for her to use and it would soak up some recoil.
But for reliability sake I got her a pump and she is now quite proficient with it and finds semis "boring"

I like knowing it's going to shoot for her no matter what happens should she need it
