:DCan anyone tell me if I did this right. I just installed the Dlask copy of the PWS FSC556 compensator on my M4. I couldn't get a clear enough picture of other M4s with the same compensator to be sure I indexed it properly. I used a crush washer and really had to crank it to get it where I think is perfect....

Now here is a blurry side view of one I know is indexed properly..

Yep you got it right. I also bought the same comp and I had a hard time indexing it. I had to use another washer than the one included and I had to widen the flat area where the wrench grips the comp with the Dremel.

Thanks! :D I put some red thread locker so I was a little worried.

man that looks awesome - guess you got the package from CP when you stopped by!

Are you going to Orono today? I need to sight in my new red dot and wouldn't mind trying one of those fancy m4 muzzle contraptions :D

Curious, is this thing a 100% copy of the FSC556?

Well the guy who won turned me on to it said it looks like it's prongs are just a tiny bit longer maybe to avoid copyright infringement. He tested them both and said if anything the Dlask is a bit better but definitely not worse. He said I will be amazed when I try it. Can't wait. The guy did win a recent CQB comepetition with it. :D

Going to the club later today to try it. It was on back order, was worried I wouldn't get it before the CFB Borden CQB shoot in the 13th.

Only $68 bucks compared to more than twice that for the PWS FSC556. Dlask makes it right on premises as when I called he said they were making them as I was talking to him.

Yes! I called at 3pm, 4pm and at 5pm they had it even though she said I would have to wait until Monday! :bangHead:

The logo is supposed to be facing up.

Dlask doesn't have a logo on theirs. I got an inbox from the person who initially brought my attention to these amazing little things.

Here's the logistics.....

The longer prongs are on the bottom, in theory this should send the gas back and up to pull the gun down and forward to counter act the back and up of normal recoil.

That's how I have it so I am happy now. I will be shooting at around 1pm. Will post a report.

First of all I have the say the Norinco M4 is an amazing deal! I finished off the original 1000 rounds I bought with the rifle plus 60 more today. 1060 rounds without even the smallest issue! All fed, all fired. Very impressed.

The Dlask comp lived up to it's rep as did the Vortex Sparc. I co-witnessed my new Vortex Sparc with my iron sights along with testing the Dlask comp. That Dlask comp makes follow up shots lightning fast. I love it. I shot everything at 25m today because the CQB I will be shooting next Saturday will not have anything over 35m, unless they throw in a surprise. :D

Too many times to count I had rounds touching eaching other with just my iron sights and with the Sparc. I had a perma smile on while shooting this thing today. Wish I was allowed to hunt with my M4 because it would do an excellent job!

Thanks Pobcat!!!! ;)

ya its one hell of a piece of kit, i ripped on pobcat for using it as i thought of it as cheating... then i tried his and knew i had to have one, it made a huuuge difference in the cqb rapid matches

No problem :D I love to inform people of great performing, reasonably priced gear...just wait until I write about my new optic....one dealer here is going to love me :p

I may pick one of these up and do a comparison between this and a few YHM/Smith/other breaks I have.

For what it's worth, I have the Yankee Hill on my Dlask bull barrel for my 10/22(just for looks obviously). I was told by someone who tested both the Yankee Hill and the Dlask on an M4 that the Yankee Hill does about 40% of the job that the Dlask does.

sorry to hijack, but is there any substitute for a compensator for my swiss arms CQB? my hand is right next to the muzzle when I'm in a firing position, was not sure if the muzzle blast would get me or not
