2 weeks ago, I disassembled and cleaned my Mosin after a shoot and I somehow lost the screw in front of the magazine that holds the wooden stock. Now I don't want to buy ones from the states because of import charges and looks like most local stores are sold out on it. I also don't want to fabricate one because I want to keep it as authentic as possible. Anybody know a place where I can find one or has one lying around?

Nope. I've been looking for a tang screw for one for months, and there's none to be had in Canada from what I can see.
You would think that there would be enough rubbish rifles coming in for some dealer to recoup their cost by breaking them down. Maybe 1 in 8 mosins I've looked at in stores recently had anything close to an acceptable barrel...
