HELP m14 barrel question

i am having a custom made barrel vice made up for swapping barrels and my machinist... who lives out of province, needs the barrel diameters for making the bushings for the vice. I will be working on enfield barrels as well, but mostly m14 norcs, usgi and possible a krieger from fulton and other aftermarket m14 barrels.... anyone know how i can find these measurements? I have no tools to accomplish this task at my disposal.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated... my barrel vise is almost complete

The M14 barel is NOT round at the point where you want to grab it, just in front of the receiver.

I used two square aluminum blocks [ shotgun reloader powder measure tubes ]. and drilled, filed, and fiddle farted around until I got the fit I wanted. I clamp them between two short pieces of steel channel. So far they have worked OK fine.

Best way to proceed is cut iout a template from paper or cardboard that fits, and transfer to the blocks before starting the fiddle farting.
Or but them from Brownells for BIG bucks.

the vice being made for me is near identical to a brownells vice... it will use similar bushings this why i need the o.d. of the barrel or if anyone has this bushing from the brownells barrel vice.... i need the inside diameter in thous.

anyone?
