I'm still on the fence in regards to the action I'd like, but I'm leaning towards an auto. The Fabarm S.A.T. 8 caught my eye, but building off an 11-87 or a M1S90 Field is also a possibillity.

The Fabarm pumps look good but their website leaves a bit to be desired. What's the difference between a SDASS Pro Forces and a Martial Pro Forces?

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can't go wrong with a benelli. The SAT looks interesting, but I havent tried one myself and all I can remember is one member having slight issues with light loads. Not a problem for a person who shoots slugs and buckshot.

Isnt the SDASS a semi while the martial pro forces is a pump ? The Martial PF is a sweet gun ;-)

+1 on the Benelli - The M2 is a face-lifted M1 without the worry of turning it into a Prohibited.

I have one :D They're sweet... but accessories are a P.I.T.A to get (I am still waiting for my pistol grip stock and 18.5" barrel - been two months already).

That's what I thought too, but I printed off their catalogue and the SDASS is labeled as a pump. There is very little writing describing the features, but the pictures show the Martial as not having a threaded barrel for chokes or a break. So far that's the only difference I can spot.

Aside from a short barrel, how do I run a risk of turning an M1 prohibited?

I could probably buy two Martial Pro Forces for the price of building the Benelli. Is a Benelli really twice the gun? I think I'd prefer a Martial PF to an 11-87, but is an 11-87 worth considering as a cheaper alternative to the Benelli?

Pro Forces all the way....way nicer to use than a tricked out 870...lighter weight, smoother action, muzzle break...makes a great unit.
