Help me decide between a Sako and a Browning bolt action for my first rifle.

. I know they are great guns and well loved by many, and with good reason I'm sure, but if they aren't the ugliest damned lever action rifles ever(at least until the tactical ones came along), I'm not sure what is. Personal preference obviously, but the aesthetics of those guns is severely lacking for the eyes of this particular beholder.
I like them both, for their own attributes. And yes, I own several rifles by both manufacturers. And both makes have proven to be accurate with factory ammo, regardless of caliber.
Buy the one that feels best when you handle and shoulder it.
Depending on asking price, the Sako may be the better value...
But one can always upgrade the scope on the Browning.

Love xbolts and sakos, but why would anyone buy a 30-06?

browning mags are not noisy not sure how that was determined i work in a gun shop and handle them every day no noise
Parts hmmm i have sold 1000's of x bolts and sakos never needed parts ?
that's first hand experience not a opinion
the sako is a better buy giving the 200$ price difference it will be substantially heavier not a bad thing if your a young man the scope is a know brainer
