Help me decide: Norc 1911 Commander or Ruger SR1911?

HI;
If you have a gunsmith to help sort out small desires with a Norinco then go for it. BUT as this is your first 1911 you may want to get one that is good out of the box.
Do you want to mess around with this piece and learn how to FIX it to your liking than get a Norinco so if you screw it up a bit , no real harm just sell it to another newbe to play with .
IF you are more interested in shooting get a ready to run gun and pay more . Smith and wesson ,Ruger etc ,expect to dish out 1000 dollars for a shooter.
