Hey guys I need help...

I can't help myself my gun buying addiction is taking over again... :dancingbanana:

I am into high velocity .400" cal and .452" cal bullets in my handguns...

The thing is that there are some awesome handguns available but they are only really available in 40S&W or 45acp...

Examples are the Kimber's/Dan Wesson's/Glock's/S&W1911PB etc...

Yesterday I was in 3 gun shops in the greater Vancouver area and fell in love with a new S&W1911PB Tactical Light Rail, ambi safety, scandium framed, stainless steel slide with a black finish.

This gun is awesome to look at/hold/touch/aim/only 30 ounces/light rail and has a perfect crisp trigger. Actually it is the nicest 1911 that I have ever held... :)

The only thing that I don't like about it is that it only comes in 45acp...

Which brings me to my question...

Can I convert this handgun to a 40 Super/45 Super/Gunnar's 45-08 and if so what do I need to do the conversions???

Nicest 1911 you say, eh? The S&W do look nice.

Don't know about the 40 Super and 45 Super conversions but for the 45-08 Armco you don't need to do a thing to your gun. You could use a heavier recoil spring but it will work with out it. I've loaded up 45-08 with 230 gr. lead that really kicked out of my 4.25" barrelled Norinco Commander. Haven't tried them in my Valtro or others but I don't want to abuse them either.

It's all in the brass. :)
