The norinco's are easy to get,.. my store has a couple. .. but im looking for a really short barrel either over under or side by side. Less than 16". Are the bear claws either cz or Baikal available in Canada? Basically looking for something quality. Thanks!

SFRC (JW-2000) or Canada Ammo (Outlaw) are the only choices I know of.
They aren't that great in the fit and finish, but they clean up pretty nice.
One I've had the chance to shoot is an excellent shooter, barrels shoot to the same point, reliable, etc.

Ive had the chance to shoot the norinco jw and the outlaw,...they are not horrible i was just hoping to get something a little more refined.... is it legal to get irunguns to import one and have it stay as non restricted?

Best way would be to convince the Baikal importer to ask the factory to produce a small batch of their S/S with 12" barrels.

Having own both the Norinco and the Baikal, the Baikal is way better quality.

It's interesting how his professionally cut down Baikal/Remington prints high with the right barrel and high and left with its left barrel. This is the same registration issue seen in DA Outlaws.

The shifts are the same as on my Outlaw.

Corwin-Arms imports Baikal double barrel shotguns... It was actually the first thing I thought of when I saw that Hickock45 video a few days back. Maybe we should all head over to his forum and put the heat on Martin to start asking Baikal to make him some. The market would be limited, because the price would be double, or more, that of the DA/Norinco/Polytech Outlaw.

But I'd be willing to pay it. I was really tempted to get an Outlaw until I handled one at the Easter Gun Show in Calgary. What a clunky hunk of junk, everything about it was stiff, and not in any form of a good way. You shouldn't need to muscle a break action open - the barrels should fall when you push the lever. This was at one of the dealer tables for a fairly well known online retailer (can't remember which, just noted mentally that I recognized the name). If that was the best they could come up with for a showroom model, then I don't want one.

The Baikal shotguns have a pretty good rep overall. For $500ish, I'd be willing to risk it. I'd buy a DA Outlaw for $5-$15, maybe.
