I'm trying to identify the rifles in this photo:

The photo is early 70's. I've been told they could be 22s but the barrel seem a bit big on those...

Thank you for your help!

I have to agree with MMM and BM about being tube fed .22 Cooey's.
The big squarish fore stock tipped me off and the tube fed right after or at the same time.
It was/is obvious they are tube fed's , but the squarish front end was what drew my attention.
Is there more to the story, perhaps a comedic skit of sort?

Actually it's a felony offence these days.
Incorrect, since there’s no such thing as a felony in Canada.

It’s either an indictable or summary offence depending on the severity, up here north of the 49th…….(sect 87 CCofC)

All in all, it is a lame and controversial photograph.

Yeah it's maybe a lame and controversial full of morons photograph for you guys but to me it's a funny/wacky photo of my late father in his 20's. One of my favourite memory of him before I was even born.

I understand where you're coming from emotionally, but objectively I have to agree with the crowd. It's a bad look.
