Sorry, it's been chopped, both the flash hider and the bayonet lug. You need to show a pictures of the left side of the butt socket on the action as well as the left hand side of the action.

You should be able to replace the flash hider/bayonet lug.

The flash hider / front sight / bayonet lug are all one part.

Numrich has them or at least a copy

Product No. 254060
$31.95

The Numrich ones are a poor copy made of parkerized pot metal.

Removing the original is a #####...

It looks like someone chopped the hider bell off and turned the end in a lathe. Too bad.

"...chopped the hider bell off and..." Cut off and crowned.
"...parkerized pot metal..." Blued steel. Requires fitting and a front sight blade. $31.95US plus the $25US export handling fee. Kind of pricey by the time you get it.

Ah! Numrich's ad says blued steel, doesn't it? I bought one...parkerized pot metal is what it was. Junk.

That was probably done by the same mastermind that worked on a G43 I used to own. They put on a recoil pad and cut about 1.5" off the forend - just enough to get rid of that incredibly heavy metal forend tip. While I realize at one time this stuff was just worthless old crap laying around, there are many times I would still like to beat some of those "bubbas" with a stick.

Get a canvas sack of G43 forend tips. :D
