Help me identify this milsurp

Saw this in the paper this morning and I am having a hard time to identify what kind it is.

Supposedly the picture was taken in Yemen.

Looks like 71/84 or Turkish M1887 fitted to a Turk M1935 stock. Could be one of the Turk conversions or a local "Khyber".

Looks to be in suprisingly good shape. Most Milsurps I have seen used in modern war zones look beat to hell and back.

The bolt and washer in the middle of the bolt gives it away as a 71 or 71/84.

The thin-ness of the fore-end and the lack of a visible stacking rod indicates a 71. IMO.

By the looks of the back "bridge" - (I know they don't have one), it's a Mauser 71. --- John

Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like a 1935 Brazilian stock. The finger grooves in the forestock look like it, as does the handguard. For a second there, I also thought someone had stuck on a lange vizier sight just ahead of the handguard, but It's just a shadow from the person behind him.

I just did a little research and I am now leaning toward a Turkish 1887 with a different stock. Did not know they further refined the 71/84. According to Wikipedia, some 71s were built in 7x57 and 7.63x53, so they might still be used by rebels and others around the world.
