I have run hundreds of loads thru my 930, target loads, slugs, without so much as a hiccup. This sunday I took it out, loaded it up, pulled the trigger and bang no problem, ejected the casing and cycled the next load properly. Pull the trigger again and no bang...just the click of the hammer travelling forward. I pulled it apart when i got home right down to the firing pin. The pin does not seem to have any damage or look as if it has snapped(looks smooth). When i take the trigger itself and manually insert the hammer into the end of the firing pin, the pin does not come out far enough to strike the primer. If i push the pin with anything else like the tip of a pen I can get it to come out far enough.
Does this sound like my firing pin is broken(too short)?
Does anyone know what the length of the factory pin should be?
Does anyone know where to purchase just a firing pin?
My 930 is still under warranty but if its something simple and i can obtain the pin without having to deal with all of the shipping Id rather to it myself. thanks
