Hey guys,

I recently purchased a Tikka T3 lite in .300WSM.

I live in Northwest Territories with no access to a gun shop and am having difficulty finding the right rings/bases for my rifle.

I am trying to mount my vortex viper pst 2.5-10x32 on it.

Can anyone point me into the right direction for which rings/base I would need and which height?

Thanks

You can get talley flat bottom rings made for the tikka but they screw onto the the top of the reciever into the tapped holes. I have them but they dont sit perfect you have to make sure to line them up with the scope tube before finally tightening down to the reciever. Simpler is the warne tikka rings that clamp onto the tikka rail system they are easy to find

Another one to consider is the one piece from DNZ or also known as Game Reaper. I have had them on a few Tikka's now and all have held up without any issues.

A 2.5x10x32 PST is a serious long range scope, that combined with a 300WSM........it may be worth a look at a Talley 20moa rail and Burris Signiture Zee Rings, medium height.

I have these on 4 T-3's and they work fine.

t3 has a flat receiver top but the rings they are selling have curved bottom. it would not fit.

They use the same picture for every talley lightweight on the website.

You need 30mm rings, and low or extra low rings will work.

Clay at Prophet River is world class, you'll be very well taken care of.

Putting on Talley Lightweights is a bit of a bear, if you're trying to do it right. 4-screw caps are a pain in the patoot.

On reflection, you might want the lows instead of the extra lows, because that scope has a really big butt. The objective is small, but lots of junk in the trunk.

Maybe buy the lows and extra lows, and send back or sell the ones you don't use.

I'll put in a plug for the talleys or DNZ game reapers. Both will come with an allen key or torque key to insert the included hardware, and as above, the picture will be the same for all product.

I've used both the talley and DNZ game reapers, they are both an excellent product, my preference is for the DNZ rings with the caps which have four screws, simply as the flange of the two talley rings protrudes to a bit of a point and the DNZ's are rounded, making for less of a surface to drag on rifle sleeves, or my eberlestock pack, but both are a great product.

Prophet River is a great vendor and site sponsor, as long as they have them in stock they usually ship out fast, I would double check that they have them in stock before ordering though...

If showing on site, they are soppsed to be in stock. We don't list anything we don't have, (short of an inventory error) except a very few special presale items
