Jewelled bolt so probably an older CDL action.
I'd work the trigger over or replace it, new half decent stock instead of that Choad thing, should be a good shooter.
PGW Steve is a member here, he might know more about the barrel make and if it's chambered for 7.62 vs 308.

M852 was the designation for a 7.62 x 51 ammunition first made for competition use by US military rifle teams using a Sierra 168 gr Matchking. It was later approved for use in combat by a decision of their JAG.

In your case it likely means the chamber reamer used is a common match reamer aptly named the “M852 Match”. It has a shorter throat than a SAAMI spec 308W and other minor dimension changes to suit match ammo or hand loads. The builder should be able to confirm

It is an older BDL or ADL action. ADL was set into a blind mag stock. BDL had a removable mag stock which is the only real difference between the two. CDL is a newer take on the older actions, with a much "fancier" stock but essential the same action as the other two. A Great action probably a keeper. All three are far better actions then the newer SPS actions. IMHO.

Thank you very much. the trigger is really heavy. I will look into my options on the trigger.

Thank you for the info Appreciated it.

As stated, M852 Match reamer was used to chamber. Beyond that, it's a 24 year old build last month, did you buy it flowers for the anniversary?

Thank you, Steve. Thank you for the confirmation. I bought it from an auction. It has a PGW stamp on it so I bought it. I have Nathan Wrights' PGW Coyote in 6.5 cm with MDT AAC stock. What a fantastic rifle! I also bought Nathan's house and range in Cartier MB. Feel free to come and shoot with us.

As far as the Choate "Ultimate Sniper" stock is concerned - these are heavy, a bit of a clunk. But the bedding is solid and a good barreled action installed in one will shoot very well.
