Hello everyone, I picked up a holster in a trade a week ago and it is a Mills 1914 made for the 1911. The only info I can find on it is that the Canadian Government purchased 5000 Gov't Model .45s in 1914 with these holsters. Does anyone know what the other markings are for? And what is it worth?
From what google has said it can range from $500 for a ratty one and $1500 for a near new one

I assume the GC stands for Government of Canada

Its worth absolutely nothing and you should send to to me - I'll trade you a Twinkie from my SHTF stash for it.

Seriously tho, that thing is friggen sweet!!
I can't help with your Qs, but if you are looking to flip it, PM me!

LOL Well I like twinkies but I have a box in the kitchen already...
I was Just wondering how rare it is?
If its only worth a couple of hundred, then I might just keep it. However if its worth more I may sell or trade it off :)

They are quite uncommon, and worth a fair bit to the right person - definately more than a couple hun, maybe a G note?
I don't really know.

Agreed, post this in milsurp, you'll get your answers.

Don't give it away for less than what Canuck says. They are VERY scarce. Check some of the US sites for an idea. And by the way, you could sell it into the US.

U.S. Militaria Forum to discuss the item. Hayes Otoupalik has one right now but yours is in better shape. Look around.
