We have a banner who believes the FMJ should be banned because it won't effectively kill anything . He has some cop on his side that is apparently plugged into the gov't trying to ban FMJ's . Please read the whole thread and leave a comment . I figured that this forum is the best place to come to find knowledgable folks on this subject .

He is not a banner and please use a full and complete statement:

He is NOT trying to get FMJ banned. He is trying to get FMJ banned for hunting BIG GAME.

BIG DIFFERENCE !

Factually his point is as follows.

yes FMJ Does not expand as much as HP type bullets, making them rely only on fragmentation and shot placement. Considering most hunters are far from being marksmen, reducing the use of FMJ will wound less animals.

I know him, he owns lots of mil and hunting guns. He is far from wanting to remove plinking from your plate !

So what? All you end up getting is an anti-gun government saying a hunter wants something banned...and then the ban expands.
