I was at a friends house tonight, and he asked me if his Boito .410 single shot was convertable to a centerfire caliber by switching barrels. Its a neat little shotgun, and to "break open" the action, you pull rearward on the trigger guard, and it opens.
Never saw an action that opened like that. He loves it, and wanted me to find out if by buying another barrel, could it be converted to a different guage shotgun, or even a centerfire rifle. I probably put this in his head, as it looks remarkable to my Rossi shotgun, and Rossi (being Brazilian also) have guns in the catalogue that have interchangable barrels. Thanks to any and all for your help. (he doesn't want another gun such as a H & R, or TC as he likes the gun and loves the trigger guard break open system - I tried to suggest other guns, he knows they can be cheaply had, he just wants to exhaust the option of converting this gun first, or at least expanding its capabilities. )
