Hey Guys
in case this has been discussed in length I apologize in advance. I noticed Ganderite's new sticky about the different types of 7.62x39 and now it has come time for me to buy another crate! So Im wondering if in my the standard SKS/XCR has anyone experienced issues with the old Bulgarian ammo from Tradex? The polish seems to be less accurate but maybe that was just that crate so im just feeling out other experiences. If you have one lemme know!

Just bought a crate of the bulgarian stuff from tradex, UPS didn't bother knocking and just left a slip on the door today ಠ_ಠ
When I get a chance to head out to the range with the sks I'll post back my findings, though with this weather I might have to wait a while!

I've used Czech and Chinese. Both ammo run perfectly after getting my over gassed rifle fixed.

I like the Chinese stuff due to the copper washed casing, no lacquer to gum up my chamber.

Yes. If I was choosing from different choices, i would look at the case. Brass, copper washed steel and lacquer coated steel, in that order.

I just picked up 1320 crate of Romanian brass. Haven't shot it yet but it looks great. Otherwise, I currently use and have a few thousand rounds or Czech lacquered steel, which performs awesomely.

I prefer the Czech, it comes with ammo on stripper clips. The older stuff is preloaded on strippers in cardboard boxes inside of spam cans, while the (relatively) newer Czech surplus is individual preloaded stripper clips in individual cardboard sleeves sealed in plastic wrapping. I believe Henry Nierychlo of Budget Shooter Supply has the newer stuff. 1200rds shipped for $225

I'm interested in the new manufacture LCW non-corrosive fmj from Canada Ammo. I believe it's on sale right now: 1000 rds for $299 and they offer free shipping on orders over $200. They also have LCW hollow points.

I also noticed prairie gun traders had federal brass cased ammo 300 rds for $199.99 as well as some Barnaul and Romanian.

I've found the Chinese copper washed to be quite dirty. I haven't had any fail to fires with Chinese or Czech, but it seemed that the Chinese ammo caused rust to develop more quickly than the Czech, but that's just my experience. Hope this helps.

The crate of bulgarian surplus came in from Trade ex, it's copper washed, no sealants either, looks pretty uniform and clean.

I prefer ammo without those sealants in my semi's since they make a mess in there.

The nice pics settles it, gonna get a case of the Bulgarians to try, worst case just spray and pray. Never know how good till you actually try it.

Speaking of trying anyone use the Bulgarians in a XCR? Both the MFS and LCW HP (NC) shoots nicely but costly.
Here are some pics of the cartridges, forgive the dust I just did laundry Pics
