help on gun value

Hey guys I bought a Marlin model 336 in a 35 Rem. in may. shiny but used. for about $400 after taxes. I tried to sell it to the same gun store today and the only difference was it had a 1 inch scratch from this years hunting season on the fore stock. I included 3.5 boxes of 200 gr. soft point ammo to go with it and was offered $175 for everything, as insulted as I was I walked out with my guns. What is this worth? any help is appreciated.

I'm no blue book but thats way to low...

I'd guess $350 at least.

What the gunshops do is buy low so they can make a profit off it, I got $200 for my 7400 243 and it was mint but I didn't want the jam-o-matic anyways, that was before CGN was around, would have got going rate for it then.

Come on Todd, $250 with 3.5 boxes of shells with it?
 
Thats what I thought it was worth at least.

how do you sell it on here, Im a bit of a newbie, who do I go through and should I use a bonded carrier.
 
If you go to the Equipment Exchange section, right underneath you'll see a message saying "click here for access" follow the instructions and sell away.
