I have just got my restricted and non restricted firearms license last weekend, now waiting to get my card back in the mail. (so im new to all this) But in the mean time iv been looking into some shot guns i would like to get. The two pump shotguns that caught my eye were the Remington 887 nitro mag tactical, and the Winchester SX3 defender (or could be the SXP).
Now my question is which one would you guy recommend for target shooting, skeet and just a nice fun gun to shot? and if anyone has any other recommendation please share.
Thanks alot

I have the 887 nitro mag. Depending what kind of price your getting this shotty is solid.
I use mine for skeet, the long barrel and ability to swap chokes makes it dead accurate. Looks cool. And it'll fire no matter what! Also bonus it shoots 3.5" shells! I wouldn't hesitate to get another. I believe I paid 389$+tax at WSS

I have a maverick,870,887 and a couple grizzlys and i love em all for different reason but the 2 that allways get used are the maverick and 887

I've shot a 870 express 3 1/2" for a decade and it has performed flawlessly. Dollar for dollar I think it would make the best first shotgun. Buy a slug barrel while your at it to add to your fun to shoot factor.
