Hi. I'm looking for info about something I don't know too much about:redface:
I'm looking into various methods of lubrication for boolits. Do most go with the ring style lube, or the Lee style where the whole bullet is lubed? Essentially, which piece of equipment should I buy? Most of the bullets initially would be for 9mm and other handgun ammo. Any help is appreciated.

I use a lube /sizer it sizes all your bullets correctly and the luber is adjustable,ex. if you have a 3 groove bullet and you only want to lube 2 of the 3 grooves you can adjust it.Also there is less mess and preparation. With a lube/sizer all you do is throw in a lube stick adjust the amount of lube and away you go.I tried using Lee liquid alox didn't like it to messy, and takes longer to do.

Castboolits Forum.

You really want to spend some time there. :D

You want to look for the terms "pan lubricated" and "push through sizing" to start out.

That's about the rock solid cheapest way to start the addiction.

At the far other end of the scale id the Star Sizer-Lubricator, Magma Engineering sells, IIRC. Nice gear. $$$ in the middle is the RCBS sizer lubricator.

Different bullets will call for different sizers and different lubes. Some of the Lee molds are tumble lubed, for eg. using liquid alox, aka mule snot. Others want a sizer die and a grease style lube in the grooves.

Cheers
