Help Please. #4 Mk2 will not go into battery

Kind of new to the LE #4 Mk 2, all help appreciated.

The gun will chamber a round and the bolt closes 99% but will not go into battery....does not lock down the last 1%, 1mm, 2mm tops.
Am I doing something wrong? It was a fine shooter but now it has me stumped.

Whats the deal?

Agreed, some of the so-called old timers I'm told used to unscrew their bolt heads one full turn so their Enfields couldn't be used properly by the great unwashed masses in case of theft. No idea if this folklore is true but I do know that my first No.4 had the bolt head backed out one full turn and therefore caused a bit of frustration before I figured this out...
