I didnt know where to post this so i figured i would come here. I have a tapco stock that i decided to paint with Krylon for plastic flat tan paint.
I really dont like the sticky feel to it.

Is there a stripper i can use to remove the krylon and not dammage the stock?

Or do i just need to bite the bullet and sand it all off and loose that nice stippled finnish of the tapco stock.

Thanks in advance, for all you out there use durakote not krylon!

I'd try the mildest solvent and work my way up from there. Start with methanol, then after that you could try laquer thinner, and eventually acetone or toluene. Is there a spot you can set it for the plastic's resistance to melting in acetone?

I've painted fibreglass USGI M14 stocks with Krylon, and didn't find them sticky. The key is to let each layer dry properly before applying the next, and to cover the finished paint job with 3 to 4 layers of a matte protective coating.

Thanks so much for the insight and comments.
I have the extra angled tube to play with to see if the plastic wont get eaten with what.
I sort of thought someone did this too and fixed it without paper.
As for sanding ive tried that but i still find the paint has a sticky feeling to it. Yes perhaps the best thing was not for me to paint it at all. Oh well, as a buddy of mine says guns dont have to be pretty just use it.

Acetone works wonders, can't even tell that it was ever painted, no sanding necessary. I've used it on fiberglass handguards and Magpul mags without ill effect but it's best to test it first.
