So I made several stupid rookie mistakes with a new Sightron SIII 8-32x56 and am now in need help from someone with more skills/savvy than I.

First I half tossed the rifle on my bed (not seeing the belt buckle) and put 3 very small (very annoying) scratches on the side of the main tube near the objective lens on this this brand new scope. Very stupid I know but whats done is done. I then picked up Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black to try and fix the marks, unfortunately I did not clean it all off completely and now there is a lighter streak in the anodized aluminum than the factory black colour of the scope. Again extremely stupid..

I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction to having this small imperfection repaired or the scope refinished by someone that really knows what they are doing. Shallow I know as the scope still functions flawlessly however it's on a target rifle and these little marks are driving me crazy.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I can tell your not the kind of guy to let this just be. Tell you what out of the kindness of my heart I have a $850 EMT on standby for the "damaged" optic, get yourself a fresh one and chock it up to a lesson learned. I joke obviously and sorry I don't have real advice, I know how it is to get the first nick on something new but like said its still an amazing piece and it's only cosmetic. More marks are going to happen. I absolutely love my Sightron 8-32, the glass is excellent but one thing they aren't is durable( as far as finish goes)
