Not sure what forum to ask but I have this bayonet (?), which dates 1882 and I think it is from England. It measures 25" with 20.5" blade.

Can someone tell me what it is and if it worth anything (and what :) ) these days.

Thanks,
Igor.

Gras 1874

M 1874 French Gras Bayonet...
I saw some in excellent to mint condition going for around $140.00...

large numbers of these were converted into coat hooks and fire irons here at one time. One still sees them occasionally. They must have been very cheap to do this.

Nope Rosalie was the name for the Model 1886 & 1886/15 bayonet, because of its cruciform blade.

I have almost the same one (different arsenal 1881), my 5'1" mother used it to chase an intruder out of her apartment before I was ever thought of.
