Hello,

I am trying to identify some bulk ammo I have acquired.
One lot has marking on the casing is 188 and 92 on the opposite side.
The other lot has Marking on casing is bxn and 73 on the opposite side.
These must be the batch numbers?
Can anyone offer what these are and possibly the worth?
Thanks!

Top is 7.62x54R, not sure what they're going for nowadays.. less than $0.50 per round. Grey tip is steel core. Bottom is 7.62x39. Total per round is ~$0.18 per round and maybe $0.50 for the stripper clip

Yup, top is surplus 7.62x54r ammo for a Mosin or SVT-40. AFAIK the silver tip inidicates "light ball", which is a slightly lighter projectile some rifles prefer. Czech, Romanian and Russians all made silver tip. Based on the photos I THINK that's Russian.

Bottom is Czech made 7.62x39 on stripper clips for a SKS.

Not unusual or particularly valuable. SFRC sells x54r for $175/400 rounds and x39 for $300/1400 rounds. Probably cheaper if you shopped around.

Thank you fellas. Im not looking for a jackpot, I just have a ton of ammo and am currently trying to get rid of a bunch. I have 1000s of rounds of this stuff.

Solution, sell 1000 rounds of the 7.62x39 for $200, buy SKS for $200, blast away the rest of the 7.62x39 you have left (have fun!!!!), then sell SKS for $200. Win, Win!
