Myself I would guess a H&R barreled action.

Edit: kind of kind thier Plainsman.
And there was another H&R 22 bolt rifle which they based the WW2 airforce 22 hornet on. The M4 22 Hornet with collapaseable wire stock.

Yes I feel sorry for it as well but I was able to save some other items from the same life.
Any value as parts?

I find it hard to believe there are no markings...

Lightly rub it with 0000 steel wool and Hoppes #9 and quite possibly some markings will show up on the barrel...

Definitely a Marlin Model 80. The markings will be on the barrel. It is a nice accurate rifle, if you can restore it...
