Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if there are any experts out there that could help me id this rifle I inherited. The numbers on the stock (AQ2117) are the same as the serial number. It doesn't have a mag or any other accessories and all the brass has been removed. It look like a smaller center fire caliber. There is also a crown and FAT 43 stamped above the chamber with something like FAET 31. Also, wondering approx. price check on it.

Thank you.

Looks like a sporter Carcano M41 to me. The rear sight and slightly shorter barrel differentiate it from an 1891.

Also, wondering approx. price check on it.

The other half of your question; probably $250 max. A tonne of as-issued Carcanos were selling in the past 2 years for sub-$350, so I'd knock at least 1/3 of the price off for a sporterized one
