Hi,

could you help me value the 3 .22 rifles i received in inheritance please? I am more a milsurp guy...

1- Savage model 3D. blueing partly gone. good bore:

2- Squire birmingham model 20P with scope bushnel i think

3- Cooey model 600. Pierced for a sidemount good bore

Thanks, Fred

I would say the Cooey and savage are more like $125 tops.
It depends if you want go move them quick or stretch the most out of them.

I see a lot of similar Cooey 60s sit on the EE for a while at $150. People that want 200 for them are out to lunch.

Cheers

Love my 600. I think $125 plus shipping is a fair price. As BMcK says, there are plenty of Cooeys out there, so don't get frustrated if it takes a little time to sell it (or the others).

Yeah, I think $150.00 is on the very top end. The Winchester/Cooey might be closer to that if it was an earlier one with a walnut stock in better condition.

None of those is as a example, a particularly noteworthy or special piece. i think the evaluations are pretty close, even somewhat wishful thinking.

The real question to ask, is if the sentimental value, if any, is worth the $400+ you would get. Maybe even keeping one, to remember.

If you are a Milsurp guy then you must like history. If so, then these guns have history to you. Is the 300-400 cash more valuable than the sentimental value? Only you can decide.
