It looks a little off but it may be a vairent of the tt-33 cheap surplus pistol. If it is its worth like 200-300$ and is a blast to shoot. And ammo is as cheap as dirt. Much like sks ammo

ummmmmm no

that is a Browing HiPower. Made in Belgium by FN under German occupation, has the German waffenmants

it looks like its in good shape, better then the one I have. Machining looks a little rough, might be late war.

I paid $700 for mine a few years ago if that helps.

incidentally most of the parts are interchangeable with Inglis BHp.

Arms manufactured under Occupation used to bring lower prices to knowledgable collectors, nowadays some smuck will pay whatever you ask for it.

Getting back to the original question - any Browning 9mm Hi Power is desireable. Although the foregoing conversation would make a fellow leary of firing a Waffenampt marked example. For a collector who wants 'one of each' this is a good start on filling those gaps.

Even taking the side track conversation into consideration, I would not be worried about this particular Hi Power being of questionable quality. It appears to have been fired a fair bit, based on the finish wear on the trigger. I know some folks are hesitant to shoot old-timers such as this, but others - not so much.

I'd pitch a WAG (wild-a$$ guess) at value of around $600-700...
