We currently have an opening available in our shop and we are looking for anyone who would be interested in working in a body armor manufacturer. We are currently looking to fill the position of production supervisor. Keep in mind while this is a managerial position we fully expect everyone in the shop to get their hands dirty as our shop mentality is that those in charge need to lead by example.
Your job would be to supervise and assist in the production shop and that would entail hands on manufacturing of the plates, supervising our other shop hands, managing consumables and materials use and procurement, assisting in setting up and manning any shows or expos, travel to France and the USA on a limited basis to assist with our production in those two countries, and assisting in prototyping and development of new products. If you would be looking to go above and beyond and supplement pay with extra commission, you could also try your hand at sales and assisting with government procurement contracts.
That is what you would be responsible for. The expectations would be to ensure that we meet our required production numbers, ensure the plates meet our quality control requirements, and to ensure you fully understand all aspects of the manufacturing process to the best of your ability.
Also our promises to you would be, full training on all aspects of your job, not being up your ass and giving you the latitude to run things your way as long as the numbers and quality do not fall behind, allowing you to try new things and giving you the support and know how to design and prototype items you think would be a good fit.
This would be a salaried position and the pay would be between 4000-5000CAD per month depending on the level of responsibility you would be looking to take on.
While we appreciate past experience, this is a very specialized industry and we will be training you on all the processes we utilize in house. However any previous experience in the composites industry would be taken into account. What we are looking for primarily is someone who is passionate about ballistic armor and has a deep interest in this industry. Fluency in French would be an additional bonus.
