any help is appreciated

1) try calling local gunsmiths (might find a used one), or

2) the remington website (they have a number for Canadian parts ordering posted (Canadian Consumer Services / Parts & Service
TEL: 1-866-662-4869) or

3) the nearest authorized repair centre:

Wortner Gun Works LTD
P.O. Box 411
433 Queen St.
Chatham, Ontario N7M 5K5
Phone #: 519-352-0924
Fax #: 519-352-4380

BTW, I don't think its a stainless bolt, just plain untreated steel.

You are looking for standard vintage wingmaster parts that it all. Finding both as seperate parts in canada good luck and be prepared to part with probally 150 bucks for the pair if you do.
Much better off buying an old wingmaster off the EE and parting it out. See them all the time less the barrel for around 200 . good luck

also, there are 2 different bolt & bolt carrier assemblies, one for use with the flex tab ('U' shaped cutout on the shell lifter on newer guns), one for the older models. I do not think they can be mixed, they need to be changed (bolt and carrier and lifter) together. I am not sure what happens if you mix them up, but the in the conversion to the flex tab kit remington sells they include the lifter, bolt and carrier together.

Agree around 1985 the flexi tab started to show and was standard issue after. I have never tried to mix them to see what happens or if possible but will now as soon as I get a newer 870 in. take care

thanks for the reply folks :) today I went to a gun shop and found a Rem 870 Wingmaster with most the specs that I wanted, but it is about $700, and its 21" barrel instead of my goal 18"...... but anyways, I'm getting closer to my dream Remington 870

cheer
