hello,
i just bought two butler creek 25 round mags, one works great, no jams what so ever, the other one though starts to act up when their are more than about 17 rounds, the problem is that when you are loading more than 17 the feed path stays down little and this is enough to make the gun misload, when you push a round in past 17 the bullet stays down a little untill you shake the mag a little then it comes up the little bit needed, please help , does it need to be worked in? thanks in advance

My newest steel lips mag was doing that when I first started using it. Exactly as you describe. It seems to have gotten "broken in" now and works properly.

mine were a bit dodgy when I got them too.... took a jewler's file to it and smoothed out where it was catching. seemed to work. Look in the 10/22 sticky at the top of this forum for a picture. happy shootin'

I have 4 in total and 1 was giveing me problems would jam a few rounds but after useing it for a while it just went away.. now I find that the fit in the gun is a bit lose and it can woble around a bit and that can cause feed isuse if you leaning agianst something and the mag is being pushed down but if its in the air not touching anything its fine... also I couldt put in the mags with out holding the lever in and now I can no problem after shooting them 4 times each.. now I just need to find a cleaner that will get the gun powder off of the tops that doesnt eat plastic..

and when shooting put you hand on the mag pushing up for a bit eventally it should break in and work fine if its feed issuses..

I experienced the same thing. One of my 2 new butler creek steel lips would have trouble feeding if it had more than 22 rounds in it. After some break-in it is fine now.
