help with 30-30 valuation

looking to maybe part with a nice old model 94 30-30 , was my uncles gun, pre 64 , its 1955 i believe.
its a low round count , stock has been nicely adorned with some brass tacks , looks the same as when i remember shooting it as a kid.
also has a receiver mounted peep sight instead of the buckhorn sight.
ideas on value ?

Post a picture, the brass tacks that you fondly remember have more sentimental value then re-sale.... even if it was a commerative model and not just you Uncle's handy work.....

What kind of rear sight? The old steel Lymans are nice.

I'd keep it if my Uncle gave it to me.

Ball park as described $400-$500 maybe asking prices seem to have crept up on 94's lately.
